Over the past 27 years, the legal profession has raised an incredible €5.9m through the Calcutta Run to help tackle homelessness in both Kolkata and Ireland. These funds have supported countless vulnerable people through its primary charity partners, The Hope Foundation and the Dublin Simon Community. Charities such as SHARE are also supported via the Cork edition.
But the Calcutta Run is more than just a run. It’s a movement – a series of events and initiatives led by the legal profession. Supported by the Law Society of Ireland, this collective effort continues to grow.
In 2025, almost 2,500 participants joined in across the country: the flagship run/walk in Dublin, run/walks in Cork and Galway, Tag Rugby, Golf Classic and Christmas Choral Concert, not to mention the coffee mornings, bake sales, quiz nights and cycle-athons in firms nationwide. Through these efforts, an amazing €325,000 was raised. We are honored to celebrate this inspiring collective effort and invite you to join us in welcoming them to our community.
