Gwen Bowen, Bowen & Co Solicitors
Gwen is the principal of Bowen & Co Solicitors. The firm was established in April 2005 in the town of Sixmilebridge, County Clare. It is a busy general practice. Gwen attended UCC and graduated in 1991 trained in Waterford and qualified as a solicitor in 1994. Before setting up in Sixmilebridge in 2005, Gwen practiced both in Waterford and Limerick City and headed up the Probate Department of a large firm in Limerick City for a number of years. Gwen undertook a Diploma in Trust and Estate Planning in April 2004 and has a huge interest in the area of Estate Planning and Probate disputes. She also qualified as a mediator through the Mediation Institute in 2007. Gwen has lectured in TUS and, over the past 25 years, in the Law Society of Ireland and she regularly conferences on the area of end-of-life issues and succession.
Gwen believes strongly in the value of colleagues and mentoring within the profession. Communication and sharing on knowledge is key to a healthy profession. Knowing that you can make a call and being available to take a call gets us through our weeks and ultimately serves our clients better AI can only get us so far when dealing with the very personal nature of this type of work.
