Ireland’s first-ever awards ceremony to celebrate generations of Irish families that work together has just been launched by Today FM Presenter Matt Cooper. The 2019 Energia Family Business Awards take place in the Round Room at the Mansion House on the 24th of May 2019.

It’s the first year of the event which aims to acknowledge family-run businesses from homegrown to established and internationally run. Recent research shows family companies are the backbone of the Irish economy and that they remain optimistic about their future. According to a recent survey by PriceWaterhouseCoopers, 86% of Irish family-run businesses expect revenues to grow in the next 2 years. Of course, this is the case for most small businesses. They all expect to grow in the future, especially when they are investing in marketing methods to try and increase their sales. A lot of smaller businesses have recently been benefitting from search engine optimization that looks to increase website traffic for smaller businesses. Companies could look here if they wanted to incorporate SEO into their marketing strategy. This should help the business to grow even more. With techniques like these, there is no reason that small businesses couldn’t grow and increase their sales. As businesses do start to increase sales, it might be worth growing the sales team to make sure they can cope with all of these new orders and clients. Perhaps some businesses could grow their sales team and then consider discussing some of these sales kickoff agenda items with them to make sure they’re ready to bring in more sales for the business. Hopefully, that will motivate the team. Sales teams are crucial for businesses.
